Tell me what type of story do publishers want?

-People used to write phantom and dragon stories, Now publishers don't really want those any more. what do they really expect from young authors like us, if i may ask?



Do they wish to have more books like Harry Potter?if you arent already an author then you should start with a romance novel, unless you have some kick a ss story in mind like HP, but otherwise ive heard that romance novels are accepted more easily than others by publishers.
No more fantasies! They get 1000s of those!
