Good classic books to read?

-I just got the kindle app for my ipod, but I don't really have a lot of money to be books right now. So I was looking at the free books. But they're all classics, and.. that's not really my thing haha. I'm into mostly horror and thriller and mystery. Any titles you recommend? I'm 13 btw.. Thank you!Oh, boy. The classics may seem boring, but there are so many great classics out there! I know everyone is familiar with a lot of these stories, but you really have to read them--there's a reason these works have stood the test of time. Here are several great options:

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Dracula by Bram Stoker

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

Gulliver's Travels by Johnathan Smith

Treasure Island or Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson

Short stories by Edgar Allan Poe (my favorites are Cask of Amontillado, The Masque of the Red Death, The Tell-Tale Heart, and The Fall of the House of Usher)

These aren't mysteries or thrillers, but they're still great choices:

Emma, Mansfield Park, or Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen

The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer & The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark TwainDo this. Go the the Shopping for Books on your Kindle menu.
