B&A - What should I do about this?

-My novel Fugitive Skies was going slowly but surely until I had a MASSIVE surge of imagination and plot bunnies: it told me to cut Rozali, Caprice, Luc, Aiden and Megumi, five of the main characters, from the story altogether, demote the protagonist from being pilot/mechanic to just pilot and change Ed from weapons expert to mechanic.

It brought with it a new cast of characters; weapon's expert and Ed's twin sister Astrid, nerdy, awkward communicatior Travis and shy, demure medic and cook Ginny.

However, I had already planned out the first few arcs and written three chapters of the first, the 'Stowaway Arc'. I'm not sure whether to listen to this new plot bunny (which I find refreshing and more original) or to continue with the current Fugitive Skies.

This might be an incredibly dumb question, but what do you think I should do? ^^;Go with the new plot. I had to do this. I had almost everything figured out, then I had an imagination-gasm and realized that I needed to get rid of almost all of it - even the main character. I had to replace the main character with who was going to be his sidekick. It took me a while to get used to it, but it's 100% better now.|||Go with whatever you feel will improve the story. Do not just stick with one story arc because you have already written a few chapters. Some authors throw away whole manuscripts when they realise they could have done a few things better.
