-Not into one section called Books and one called Authors, but in one section for books (like reading books, interpreting books, what-do-you-think-of-this book questions) and one section for writing (for all those aspiring authors on here.)
I keep getting confused they're both merged into one section. What do you think? It might not be a bad idea, however, the two aren't that different. If you're a writer and you have a question about your material or topic, input from readers can be just as valuable, if not more, than input from other writers, because readers are who you're writing for. Similarly, it's been my experience that people who are the most serious about writing read more than anyone else, so if anyone has questions about books aspiring writers will likely have the answers.
Did that make any sense?
Even if they were divided into two categories, the category auto-chooser would likely bounce between the two categories. That, and a writing category would get questions about all kinds of writing--books, stories, and people trying to get people to do their homework.
I got confused as well. But here's an example of why they put them together:
What if there are 3 categories: Ice Cream, Sweets, and Pizza. 10
things are in the Pizza category, 5 things in Ice Cream, and 5
things in Sweets. They might as well put Ice Cream and Sweets
together to make Ice Cream & Sweets.
See what I mean? That way they can fit more categories.
Yes.. and no. I say that because books have authors write? And it is the same subject. But also yes, because I AM a young author taht is always looking for advice, and it would be esier just to go into authors instead of looking at all together.
Omg i was thinking the exact some thing awhile ago! haha :) but yes i do ;D
Well, if you want it go to the Yahoo suggestion board and mention it. If enough people want the same thing Yahoo might take notice.
I see your point but because the categories themselves are so small, it makes sense to be combined.
