How is this beginning to a story?

-This is my brother's. I say it's a 6.5 maybe a 7 but he says I'm just jealous and should ask my "peeps on that answer site thing." So here I am asking you.



I was being stalked. But this wasn't your ordinary stalker, if what I've heard is true. She was like any other teenage girl in mid-summer, wearing denim short-shorts, a tank top, and flip-flops. You may be thinking that it was a coincidence, maybe that she was going where I was going, but let me ask you: what destination requires you to take four rights in a row, go around one of those spinny doors six times and go back and forth between the same two subway stops four times. She was totally stalking me...i like it it

why not add a question as the last sentence, so it pulls in the reader more
I don't like it...it's boring and just a truckload of random babbling about being stalked by some girl. Make it more interesting....And I couldn't care less what she was wearing.
That is actually pretty good. It makes the reader want to know why that girl is "stalking him".
don't end the begginning with she was totally stalking me... end it more like "but why....?"

Harry Potter characters versus Twilight characters?

-If some of the characters from Harry Potter and Twilight fought, who do you think would win in the following situations? Oh, and all of them battle to the death.

Harry against Edward

Dumbledore against Carlisle

Voldemort and his army against Victoria and her army

If in the above situations, all of the characters had their wands and powers, who would win? I personally think Harry, Dumbledore, and Voldemort would win. Harry just has to use Protego, then Petrificus Totalus, and then Incendio. Dumbledore can do that storm of fire he did in Half-Blood Prince, and Voldemort can do the huge flaming snake, and his Death Eaters could cast Incendio or other fire related spells. Voldemort also has Horcruxes, so he can't die.Just to let you know, Voldemort would OBLITERATE any of Twilight's villains. The magic vs. vampires thing just doesn't work. Not only

that, but Voldemort has Dementors, werewolves, giants, etc. in his legions. Voldemort and Dumbledore are the most powerful wizards in history. Oh, and did I mention The Elder Wand, Horcruxes, and all the other powerful things these wizards can do? As Mr. Olivander said in DH Part 2: "You know, you really don't stand a chance.."



And Carlisle vs. Dumbledore? That's like pitting Bella Swan against Gandalf.



Harry would beat Edward so fast.Harry would win, because he can do spells and magic, while Edward is just a vampire who sparkles and has superhuman strength/speed.

Dumbledore would totally win. He's the most powerful wizard in the HP Realm. Carlisle is, again, just a vampire who sparkles and has superhuman strength/speed.

Voldemort would PWN Victoria and her army. He's Voldemort. Him and his stupid Horcruxes are unkillable.
Edward and Carlisle, by virtue of being Gary-Stus and thus undefeatable.



For the last battle, definitely Voldemort, seeing as Victoria and the Volturi would probably decide not to fight at the last second.
I totally agree with you (no matter how much I hate Harry and Dumbledore) Because they had their wands they could EASILY win ;)

-I'm writing a medieval fiction series but I'm stuck on naming the characters I would appreciate some help

There are a lot of characters so the more names the better. I'm looking for names that you wouldn't hear anymore (so no William or Robert etc.) and elfish names but not too elfish if you know what I mean. Also I need second names

Don't be opposed to some names still around today because it makes it legitimate and people will connect it to their lives which helps them escape into the fantasy even more.
