How can I look like Hermione granger for Halloween?

-I know it's early but every year I fail miserably at what I'm trying to be due to lack of preparation......

So how can I put together a out fit like hers? I dont want to buy the costume to be her, just a griffindor pin and and griffindor tie. and I don't want the robe looking outfit.

But does she wear like a dark gray sweater and black skirt? What color is the collared shirt? Does she wear leggings? And what kind of shoes?

I have brunette hair, isn't that what color her hair is in the books? Or should I just be a different character?To be Hermione, outfit wise you'll need to wear a grey sweater and black skirt with black leggings.

Since you're brunette you can either dye your hair in a kinda caramel color (color of her hair according to the movie) and frizz it up a bit or, if you wanna stick with you natural hair color, you can always be Moaning Murtle!! There's always the option of Millicent Bullstrode, but she's Slytherin. You wanna be a Gryffindor or Slytherin character??. Cause those are all the options I can give.

Your pick..:)So you don't want the robe...okay...what you can do is wear a dark gray sweater and a black pleated skirt. Under the sweater wear a white button-down dress shirt and a Gryffindor tie. The pin will not be necessary. I don't remember whether Hermione wears tights or knee-highs, so I would watch a couple of the movies, but make sure the movies are the third or later, when the characters aren't in full robes all the time and pay attention to how Hermione dresses when she's not in full robes. Also you should consider curling your hair in big, loose curls like Hermione's is, unless your hair is naturally curly.
Honestly, to look like Hermione Granger you'll need the Hogwarts uniform. The fact that you call it the "robe looking outfit" makes me think you didn't read the books, but I assure you that people will not know you're Hermione by a gray sweater and black shirt.

If you really don't want to wear the Hogwarts uniform (which I don't see why not) why don't you wear her Yule Ball dress (or something similar).

If you're stuck on your idea, make sure you have clear Gryffindor items, poufy hair, a wand in your hand and whatever else you can think of. Good luck.

You should just get one of your friends to dress up as a troll then dress up as someone from Gryffindor then hide in the toilets then when someone walks in, the troll can walk in like in the first film.
